I once heard a statement that was made by a very successful man. "Let's just get something started and if it's wrong then we'll change it later." How true this is! It's a good attitude to have about life. Sometimes I find myself stuck just because I'm trying to decide what I need to do. Or how I'm going to do it. Or even when! Why? It all sounds like excuses and just another way to procrastinate. I've been "getting my blog ready" for quite some time now and I finally decided to just get it up and going. This blog will be rough and constantly under construction, but that's how life is. Rough and under construction. I find myself constantly wanting to better myself, to have better and most importantly to DO better. I sincerely believe this is what drives me, that yearning for the "Good Life". I hope any readers I gain in the future will feel free to ask me any questions and ask for advice at any point in time. I would be more than happy to assist in any way possible! Now for my official introduction:
My name is Lealah (prounounced Layla) and I have lost 130 pounds since February 15, 2010. That would be half of my starting body weight. I started in an approximate size 24 and am currently in a size 4. I still have a few jiggly bits that I want to tone up and lose so I have reset my goal to lose 140 pounds. I think another 10 pounds or so will do. Currently, while I DO want to lose another 10 pounds, I am at a healthy weight, have a healthy BMI and feel better than I ever have before. Therefore, since the weight loss has slowed significantly, I have been focusing primarily on fitness goals and maintaining a healthy diet. I hope that my experiences will prove to be beneficial to others. I will have pages dedicated to recipes, fitness accomplishments and other important aspects of my life.
